Rigoni’s Bistro & the Leigh Street precinct
Established in 1979 and situated in the historic and beautifully restored Leigh Street; Rigoni’s Bistro is a unique Adelaide dining institution serving modern Italian fare complimented by a superb selection of award winning local and imported wines. Still serving the classic Italian dishes that made Rigoni’s famous along the way, alongside modern Italian inspired cuisine.
We have a very strong focus on supporting local business with the majority of our product being sourced locally or nationally with a strong focus on supporting Australian producers. After developing relationships with local producers we have a vast array of South Australian products available direct from the source. Whether you are after Coffin Bay Oysters, Hay Valley Lamb, Berkshire Pork, Southern Blue fin tuna, Barossa Valley chicken or any one of SA’s award winning wine producers, we can source it for you.
With our private dining room we are able to cater for up to 36 guests in privacy and comfort, and with the addition of AV equipment it makes the perfect spot for a board meeting, presentation or simply somewhere different to pitch your ideas.
Since being closed to traffic in 2013, Leigh Street has seen a shift from a foot traffic thoroughfare to a dining precinct, with the addition of many restaurants, cafes, takeaways & bars, the area is buzzing from the early morning until the wee small hours. Pop-up events have become a regular feature of the street, with bars, markets, food and wine tastings and the occasional long lunch all making regular appearances on the street.
Open Monday to Friday 7am until late serving breakfast, lunch & dinner, and 5.30pm until late on Saturday evenings. We are a short stroll from Adelaide Oval, the city’s major hotels, central business district, theater precinct and central markets. So whether you are in town for the footy, cricket, business or pleasure, you are sure to find a table or spot at the end of the bar to relax, unwind and enjoy a nice glass of wine.
